Everything Testnet

  • Movement Public Testnet is live
    Movement Labs' public testnet is now live, offering a platform for developers and users to interact with Movement’s next-gen L2 using the MoveVM and Celestia for data availability. The MoveDrop incentivized testnet program includes:

    • Battle of Olympus: A hackathon for developers to build in various domains, running until September.

    • Building the Parthenon: Open to all, involving weekly quests, partner engagement, and joining Movement guilds.

    • Gmove Campaign: Win trophies for mentioning “gmove” on X.

    • Centurions: A forthcoming program for dedicated participants.

    Developers can access resources and documentation through Movement’s site. The testnet is active, with ongoing participation and contribution opportunities.

  • The Initiation: Part Two starts now!

    The last chapter begins with The Initiation: Part Two, a four-week sprint to upgrade your Jennie, test Minitswap, and explore Initia VIP launching in Week 3.

What's New in Cosmos, Interchain and IBC

  • The Injective July Monthly Community Update

    Injective's July update highlights significant strides in reducing friction for builders, users, and institutions. Key developments include the launch of AINJ, an Injective Staking ETP, and the integration of Ondo Finance's USDY and Mountain Protocol's USDM, offering yield-bearing stablecoins.


    StreamSwap and Start.cooking joined the ecosystem, enhancing token swap methods and token creation on Cosmos. The first Injective Builder House event in Brussels brought together industry leaders for collaboration. The platform also saw strong ecosystem activity, including over 800 million transactions and 60 million INJ staked.




  • Utila Integrates Injective for Enhanced Digital Asset Management
    Utila now supports Injective, enhancing digital asset management. Users can seamlessly transfer INJ and IBC tokens, view balances, and leverage Utila's secure governance for Injective workflows.

    Utila also offers automated workflows via API and webhook access, simplifying Injective transfers, balance checks, and real-time notifications. Additionally, exchange integration allows for easy INJ deposits and withdrawals within the Utila console.


  • What a week it’s been for the Sei ecosystem!

    The Creator Fund Round 2 applications closed on August 12th at 12 PM EST, with voting set to begin the next day. OpenPad AI and Sei Network launched a $30M Gaming Program.

    YeiFinance deployed over 650k $SEI in rewards, and Jellyverse partnered with Frax Finance and Sei Network for Phase II of the stablepool incentives. Beefy Finance, GameFi, and Covalent are now live on Sei V2, and Pallet Exchange introduced The Pallet Social Lotto.

  • Kujira Recovery Plan & THORChain Partnership
    Kujira and THORChain are partnering to integrate Kujira's DeFi suite with THORChain’s cross-chain swaps, enhancing liquidity and volume. Due to a recent liquidation cascade, Kujira faces $2.8m in net debt, which they plan to resolve through a PILOT token sale.

    THORChain will support the raise, and Kujira will migrate its core apps to THORChain within six months. The team will also restructure, with new leadership focusing on improved risk management and transparency. Kujira’s validators and stakers will transition as the Kujira L1 shifts to a “low-power” mode.




  • Builder Stories: Why Osmosis Chose the Cosmos SDK
    Osmosis, a popular interchain DEX, leverages the Cosmos SDK for its flexibility and modularity, enabling custom blockchain development with advanced features like MEV prevention and privacy. Co-founder Dev Ojha emphasizes the SDK's configurability, allowing developers to optimize and evolve their protocols without being tied to a rigid framework.

    He advocates for sovereignty in blockchain design, contrasting the app chain approach with Ethereum’s model, and highlights the importance of privacy and security in driving broader Web3 adoption.



  • The new standard for digital asset issuance

    Noble Express simplifies USDC transfers across blockchains like Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, and major Layer 2s. It offers 1-click transfers, zero slippage, and transaction history.

    Currently, in beta, Circle’s CCTP and Cosmos IBC are leveraged for secure transfers. The app will include upcoming features like faster transactions, Ledger support, and a mobile version.




  • Initia Introducing VIP

    Initia aims to create a strong multi-chain economic framework with its VIP (Vested Interest Program). The goal is to make INIT the core asset across all L2s, similar to ETH in Ethereum's ecosystem. VIP incentivizes L2s and users to integrate and use INIT, ensuring alignment among all participants.

    It distributes rewards (esINIT) based on activity and engagement, which can be unlocked over time or converted into liquidity positions. This approach drives collective growth and positions INIT as the foundational asset within Initia’s network of interwoven rollups.

  • Initia has acquired Celatone and Alles Labs,

    Initia has acquired Celatone and Alles Labs, integrating their powerful explorer into Initia Scan. This move enhances Initia’s capabilities, making Initia Scan the primary tool for navigating thousands of interwoven rollups.

    The acquisition also adds 10 new team members who will focus on Initia Scan dominance, integrations, and tooling. No service interruptions are expected for external explorers.

  • Cheqd Mid-Year Update: Key Achievements and What’s Ahead

    Cheqd's mid-year update highlights advancements in their Creds Creator Studio, including new analytics, a "Sell a Credential" feature, and light mode. They've launched cheqd Studio, focusing on trust and payment infrastructure with API integration.

    Their trust registries gained attention at the IIW and are now part of the European Blockchain Sandbox. Upcoming initiatives include exposing Creds APIs, implementing advanced tokenomics, and supporting stablecoins like USDC and EUROe. They're also enhancing the platform with gamified experiences and open-source contributions.

A Universe of Airdrops

The cosmos is alive with airdrop excitement.

  • The Cookiedrop Competition offers a chance to earn $COOK tokens through trading activities on start.cooking. The competition is split between individual and team categories, with 7% of $COOK tokens allocated for this event. Participants can accumulate cookies by trading $OSMO or $INJ, with progress tracked on live leaderboards. Teams are pre-assigned, but new teams can join until August 1, 2024. The final $COOK distribution will depend on accumulated points, rewarding both community engagement and individual trading activity.

  • Aigisos is allocating 90 million AIG (9% of the total supply) in a two-phase Rolldrop for the crypto community and testnet users. The process is sign-less, requiring only a wallet address to claim. Eligible categories include Dymension stakers, Perpetual DEX traders, Gitcoin donors, and Earndrop contributors. Unclaimed tokens will be redistributed to active participants.

  • SAGA Vault 4 snapshot has been taken

  • The stSAGA airdrop will distribute 50,000 STRD over 100 days to stSAGA holders, with 500 STRD allocated daily based on holdings. The full amount will be claimable from September 1, 2024, with a three-month claim period. stSAGA can be held on any Cosmos chain or in DeFi apps, and holders will also receive SAGA rewards, the STRD airdrop, and potential future airdrops.

  • Minting for Elys Network NFTs starts now for whitelisted addresses and runs from 08/11 to 08/25, 4 PM UTC. Free minting links are available for Tier 1 and Tier 2 collections. Trading begins today at 6 PM UTC. Each address can mint NFTs based on their final list quantity, with no public mint available. This NFT campaign is experimental, linked to an airdrop, and may introduce additional utilities. NFTs are proof of involvement in Elys Network activities.

Injective burned $344,478 worth of $INJ this week, marking a significant burn auction event. The Injective Burn Auction is a community-driven mechanism to reduce INJ supply over time, enhancing its deflationary nature. Here's the process: revenue from applications and contributions is collected into an Auction Fund. Participants bid INJ in weekly auctions to win the fund's assets. The winning bid's INJ is then burned, reducing circulation. As the Injective ecosystem grows, these auctions scale, reinforcing the economy's deflationary model.
