What's New in Cosmos, Interchain and IBC
Agora to Launch Native US Dollar Stablecoin on Injective
Agora, a firm co-founded by Nick Van Eck, is launching its US dollar-backed stablecoin AUSD on the Injective blockchain. AUSD is fully collateralized by assets managed by VanEck and custodied by State Street.
The launch aims to improve liquidity and facilitate transactions between decentralized and traditional finance markets. AUSD is expected to be widely adopted across the Injective ecosystem, which has processed over $40 billion in USD-denominated stablecoin volume.
Injective has integrated Kalshi
Injective has integrated Kalshi, a leading regulated election betting platform, through its Stork data feed. Kalshi has attracted over $100 million in bets for the upcoming election and is now one of the top apps on the Apple App Store.
This integration allows Injective dApps to leverage Kalshi's data to create innovative on-chain financial products, further bridging the gap between traditional and decentralized finance.
Akash Constantly Growing
A recent report by Coinbase featured Akash as one of the leading permissionless compute marketplaces. The report lays out the Crypto x AI stack, the fundamental building blocks of truly decentralized AI, and how AI Agents will access permissionless computing.
Akash has also surpassed $1,000,000 in total network spend. This metric includes both $AKT and $USDC spend.
Axelar Network's 2024 Milestones - Progress Update
Axelar, a leading cross-chain infrastructure provider, has reached several key milestones in 2024 as part of its Mobius Development Stack (MDS). This includes the mainnet launch of the Interchain Amplifier, Interchain Token Service, and Axelar Virtual Machine.
Axelar is also collaborating with OpenZeppelin to develop standardized semantics for open interoperability. Additionally, the network is exploring tokenomic enhancements and integrating new blockchain ecosystems like Flow, Hedera, and Solana to expand its multichain connectivity.Introducing AnonCreds Object Method
The cheqd network is integrating support for AnonCreds, a type of Verifiable Credential, through its DID-Linked Resource module. This will allow cheqd to host schemas, credential definitions, revocation registries, and revocation status lists that can be used to issue and verify AnonCreds credentials.
By providing AnonCreds support, cheqd aims to enable partners with existing AnonCreds-based applications to use the cheqd network alongside Hyperledger Indy ledgers. The goal is to ensure interoperability and bring AnonCreds closer to W3C compliance.
Osmosis Highlights from October
$36 Billion in Trading Volume, Dubai Conference, and Osmosis Pay Launch. In October, Osmosis achieved a significant milestone by surpassing $36 billion in total trading volume, which is equivalent to 150 million years of Netflix premium or 3.8 billion Big Mac meals from McDonald's.
The Osmosis and Polaris contributors made a strong presence at the CosmoverseHQ 2024 conference in Dubai, delivering insightful presentations and participating in panel discussions.
Osmosis Pay, powered by Cypher_HQ_, was launched, allowing users to spend their assets on Osmosis as easily as cash. The Osmosis Card, supported by the VISA network, can be used at over 40 million merchants across 140 countries.
Namada Dry Run Overview
Namada is conducting a dry run simulation of its production environment to thoroughly test the network's functionalities, including shielded actions, governance proposals, and validator coordination.
The dry run involves Namada's pre-genesis validators and community testers, and will progress through defined phases to identify and resolve any issues related to client bugs, hardware support, and software updates.
Namada will adjust the network configuration to facilitate testing, and require at least a two-thirds majority participation from validators. The dry run aims to demonstrate the protocol's full functionality and essential services, with feedback from the community used to assess Namada's readiness for mainnet launch, which will be announced based on milestone completion.
Penumbra is now supported as a destination on Noble Express
Penumbra's ephemeral address capability allows users to generate temporary, random addresses for individual transactions. These one-time use addresses do not contain any information about the user's primary account, enhancing privacy and security by reducing traceability.
The ephemeral addresses aim to protect user privacy by preventing transactions from being linked back to a permanent account address.
Advancing Sei’s Developer and Gaming Ecosystems via Creator Funding
The Sei Creator Fund recently concluded two parallel funding rounds, one focused on the developer ecosystem and the other on Web3 gaming. The two rounds had a combined matching pool of over $500,000 in SEI tokens. Round 3 supported 73 projects and raised over $41,000, while Round 4 supported 198 projects and raised over $61,000.
Sei implemented enhanced DBSCAN clustering and partnered with Gitcoin to improve Sybil detection and ensure the integrity of fund distribution. The strong community participation and focus on supporting creators demonstrate the potential of the Sei ecosystem and create momentum for future growth.

A Universe of Airdrops
The cosmos is alive with airdrop excitement.
The $ATONE airdrop has been distributed to eligible $ATOM holders, with the allocation based on their Cosmos Hub Prop 848 voting behavior, and users can now view their $ATONE balance and stake it.
Defund is offering an airdrop for $TIA stakers, Osmosis liquidity providers, Defund testnet participants, and Sui Network users, with additional eligibility criteria to be announced.
The Mantra mainnet is now live, but the $OM airdrop has not been released yet, with additional missions required before the airdrop is distributed, and the airdrop itself subject to a 3-month cliff and 9-month vesting period.
The $DGN airdrop criteria include staking $DGN, holding specific NFTs, staking $ATOM, and purchasing $DGN during StreamSwap, with different multipliers based on the staking and NFT tiers.
The Elys network mainnet launch roadmap is close, with the public launch of perpetual, a new bonus block quest, and the conclusion of the incentivized testnet as the next stage of development.
