The Sei ecosystem is experiencing significant growth with multiple developments across various projects. Chapter 5 of "Nothing to do on Sei" showcases recent initiatives. Gitcoin Creator Fund voting is ongoing until October 17th. Tangem now supports Sei on its hardware wallet.

Cat vs Monsters reached 250,000 users, while Anome TCG surpassed 10,000 unique addresses. BharatGG is focusing on game development acceleration. LogX launched on Sei mainnet with leveraged trading options. Good Game Arcade exceeded 2 million transactions. New features and integrations have been introduced by Pulsar Money, Jellyverse, Lydian Labs, Yei Finance, and Pit Finance. These developments demonstrate the ecosystem's expanding user base, transaction volume, and diverse range of applications.

  • INTELLECT-1 is the first-ever decentralized training of a 10B model Powered by Akash
INTELLECT-1 launches the first decentralized training of a 10-billion-parameter AI model, with Akash as a key enabler in the ecosystem. Akash, a decentralized cloud computing marketplace, provides critical infrastructure for this innovative project. Building on OpenDiLoCo, the initiative scales up DeepMind's Distributed Low-Communication method.

Akash's decentralized network powers the Prime framework, enabling fault-tolerant training across globally distributed GPUs. Technological advancements like ElasticDeviceMesh and custom Int8 All-Reduce Kernel are optimized for Akash's distributed environment. INTELLECT-1, based on the Llama-3 architecture, leverages Akash's computing power to train on high-quality datasets. This Akash-powered project invites contributions from partners and individuals, aiming to democratize AI development.

  • cheqd Studio
cheqd conducted product interviews with digital credential companies, revealing that 92% identified trust registries or commercial models for credential ecosystems as significant blockers. In response, cheqd launched cheqd Studio, an API service addressing these challenges.

cheqd is establishing trust infrastructure, empowering relying parties to fully trust received credentials, while also facilitating payment infrastructure for companies and consortia to create commercial models for credential flows. cheqd Studio integrates both trust and payment systems, potentially streamlining the development of digital credential ecosystems. This solution may interest those working with Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and Decentralized Identifiers (DID), as it targets key obstacles in the field of digital credentials.

  • The Cosmos SDK team is introducing v2
The Cosmos SDK team is introducing v2, a redesign aimed at enhancing developer freedom and simplifying the software architecture. The current semi-modular monolith structure, centered around BaseApp, is being replaced with a more flexible system. v2 splits functionality into two main components: the Server and the State Transition Function (STF). The Server handles client infrastructure, GRPC, REST, and consensus engine connections, allowing for custom consensus implementations beyond ABCI.

The STF manages execution through four key methods: DeliverBlock, Query, ValidateTx, and Simulate. This new design emphasizes stateless operation and customization options. Additionally, v2 reimagines storage, separating it from commitment structures to improve efficiency and enable direct database interactions. The redesign focuses on concurrency, with a multireader and single writer approach controlled by the consensus server. These changes aim to address current limitations, reduce maintenance burdens, and provide developers with greater flexibility in building decentralized applications on the Interchain Stack.

  • Introducing Jackal Vault
Jackal Vault offers blockchain-secured, self-custodial file storage with a user-friendly interface. The platform emphasizes long-term data preservation, allowing users to prepurchase storage plans for extended periods. Jackal Vault prioritizes user control, eliminating intermediaries in data management.

For $15 per month, users receive 1TB of usable storage along with 2TB of additional backups, totaling 3TB of cloud storage capacity. This pricing includes triple redundancy and auto-healing algorithms enforced by the blockchain, ensuring data integrity. Jackal Vault's transparent pricing model excludes hidden fees or transfer charges, providing users with a straightforward and comprehensive storage solution that combines security, accessibility, and longevity.

  • Secret Partners with Native to bring Decentralized Confidential Computing to Bitcoin
Native and Secret Network have partnered to integrate secure Bitcoin with decentralized confidential computing. Native will provide a zero-trust Bitcoin platform on Secret, enabling DeFi applications to access Bitcoin through IBC without bridging.

In return, Native will gain decentralized confidential computing via Secret's Confidential Computing Layer, supporting private DAOs, encrypted DeFi order books, secure NFT auctions, and more. This collaboration enhances privacy and security for DeFi applications and offers developers tools for innovation. Native is set for a Q1 2025 launch.

  • SEDA Bi-Monthly Engineer v0.4 Update
The SEDA Engineering team is finalizing the v0.4 devnet upgrade, with a focus on batching data requests, improving network efficiency, and deploying specialized solvers for app-specific needs.

Key updates include the ability for validators to sign batches, optimizations to the Overlay Network, and new EVM contract provers to maintain data integrity. The team is also enhancing the SEDA Explorer’s UI/UX and automating chain integration with a modular design. Finally, chain contracts now include data result timeouts, with governance options for adjustments.
